Hmm. The start of a blogging experiment. I need to clarify the purpose of this blog in my own head before having any sort of coherent introduction message. But underlying this whole experience perhaps is the motto of “go for it,” so I have. At a later, less frazzled date, I’ll search for clarity and update my blog as need be. For now though this is a blog about trying things out, blogging being one of those things.
The other thing, I’ve decided, shall be pole dancing, and hoop dangling, and that thing you do with ribbons where you tie yourself up and then dramatically fall to the ground stopping mere inches from the ground..in theory. Tomorrow night I plan on attending my first ever dance class, “Intro to Pole Dancing.” Im nervous, but excited to try something new. Im a pretty sweaty type of exercise person though so Im thinking it might not really be my cup of tea (skin on a slick pole just seems like a recipe for disaster) in which case Ill move on to either hoops or the ribbon thing in the hopes that one of them sticks (see what I did there). I want to find some sort of purpose driven exercise to keep me active. I have no idea if I can follow any sort of dance routine, dance seductively with a straight face, or whatever else may be required. I do know that I can not touch my toes and my body fat percentage is in the upper 30s (even after losing 25lbs so far of baby weight) so it is time to have some fun and hopefully get some health benefits along the way. The class is at the baby friendly time of 8:30 pm which is a bonus. Wish me luck. Tomorrow my goal is to check in with a blog post after I attend my class. We shall see how it goes! So with that I start my journey into the circus of blogging…and pole dancing…and whatever else comes my way.
