Before Halloween gets too far away from me I’d love to record the awesome get up we did this year. A new family of four plus a little black dog led us straight to the Wizard of Oz. I went Amazon crazy (yep no time to get crafty) and got us all decked out. When I told my mom she casually mentioned that she could be the witch, then that led to my SIL and nephew joining in (my older brother is in Korea so he was a no go), my dad, my grandma, my uncle, my aunt, my youngest brother, and his girlfriend.
With so many people dressing up we thought, heck lets get some family photos done and have a party. My mom decorated her whole outside lawn to look like Oz and had the movie soundtrack blaring. It was so much fun. Our costumes were a hit. We got interviewed by two newspapers at one event, another event we were instagrammed for 3 of the stores participating in the event, tons of people wanted to take photos. The take away is 1) Wizard of Oz is insanely popular…I mean like people will stop their car in the street and tell you have much they love the movie and 2.) You have to love your family and home (as the movie shows us) because they are the ones who will do things like this with you.

Oh and last but not least my awesome halloween breakfast and halloween lunch date contributions. I did a search for the absolute easiest Halloween food I could make. I did the ghost bananas and pumpkin oranges for 3 different Halloween/Fall events. I also did the pumpkin vomiting guacamole for a lunch (and was outdone by someone doing the same thing, but with much more attention to detail). The Jello molds were where it was at. Another Amazon win.

All in all a fabulous Halloween
